Scope
AllVeganPlease aims to make its services usable for everyone. This statement covers:
- the website www.allveganplease.com in English, Finnish and Swedish
- the AllVeganPlease browser extension version 0.9.x for Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers: the settings window and everything the extension adds to online shops (product badges, tooltips, the classification menu, the feedback form, the product page panel and the hidden-products counter)
- the AllVeganPlease userscript for Safari on iPad and iPhone
Conformance status
The services partially conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Partially conforms means that the content we produce meets the requirements, with the exceptions listed below.
What has been done
- All functions can be used with a keyboard. Opening a product badge menu moves focus into the menu, Tab stays inside it, and Esc closes it and returns focus to the badge.
- Focus is clearly visible everywhere and is not hidden behind the sticky header of the website.
- Tooltips also appear on keyboard focus, the pointer can be moved onto them, and Esc closes them.
- Text contrast is at least 4.5:1, also on the extension's green surfaces, and icons and controls have a contrast of at least 3:1.
- Results are never conveyed by colour alone: each badge also has a symbol (✓, ✕, ?) and an accessible name with the result and the reason.
- The language of the extension (English, Finnish or Swedish) is marked in the code, also when the extension is used on a shop in another language.
- The website works at 320 px width and with 400 % zoom without horizontal scrolling, and has a skip link to the content.
- Animations are turned off when the operating system is set to reduce motion.
- Form fields have labels, and confirmations are announced to screen readers as status messages.
Non-accessible content
Online shop content. The extension adds its own controls to third-party online shops (e.g. Zalando, Wolt, S-kaupat). The accessibility of the shops themselves is the responsibility of each shop and is not covered by this statement.
Dimmed products (optional setting). If the user chooses to dim non-vegan products instead of hiding them, the text of dimmed products has deliberately low contrast (WCAG 1.4.3). The dimming is removed while the pointer or keyboard focus is on the product. The default setting hides the products completely and does not have this issue.
iPad and iPhone settings. In the userscript version the settings are opened from a ⚙︎ button and use the browser's own text prompt. It works with a keyboard and screen reader but is simpler than the settings window of the Chrome extension.
How the accessibility was assessed
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 31 October 2026. The assessment combined automated testing with axe-core 4.10 (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules, levels A and AA) on all pages and in all three languages, the extension in both light and dark mode,, and manual checks: keyboard use, focus order and visibility, content on hover or focus, contrast measurements of the green surfaces, reflow at 320 px, text resizing, target sizes and reduced motion. These checks are part of the automated test suite and are repeated for every new version. The services have not yet been assessed by an external auditor or tested with users of assistive technologies.
Feedback and contact
If you notice an accessibility problem or need information in another format, please tell us by email at info (at) allveganplease.com. You can also use the feedback function of the extension (click a product badge → Send feedback) and describe the problem in the comment. We aim to respond and fix problems within 14 days.
